Would you like to get to know the Japanese art of embroidery Boro & Sashiko? In this workshop for beginners, we will focus on artistic repair, embroidery and design. Discover the traditional technique and learn how decorative handicrafts and sustainability come together in an impressive way.

What you can expect:

In the workshop, you will work with original Japanese Sashiko needles and the yarn provided for this purpose. You will get to know basic stitch types and their variations and implement them in your own patterns. Either on pieces of fabric you bring with you or with the material provided (material costs: €8).

Using the Boro technique and the characteristic small Sashiko stitches, you will create unique textile pieces, whether as a framed work of art, as a decorative element on a bag or as an individual accent on an item of clothing.

Included in the price: Participation in the 2.5-hour workshop including use of the tools and yarns. 8€ additional material costs apply when using the raumkoerper fabrics (payable on site). No previous knowledge required. Drinks included. You take your self-designed craft home with you.
