Two extraordinary solo performances invite you to an evening between depth and lightness: With "Brain Healing" we experience an intense journey through inner conflicts, while "ha ha ha hi!" shows in a whimsical way how failure can become an art form. Let yourself be surprised, touched and made to laugh!
Both plays were selected from a large number of submissions for the open call for Rohmaterial #2. The new event series "Rohmaterial" enables artistic productions at an early stage to perform in front of an audience - raw, unpolished and full of potential. They are fresh, vibrant and interested in the audience's reactions - a unique dialog between art and spectators that further shapes the creative process.

Brain Healing by Rixa Rottonara
"Brain Healing" is a solo performance in which contemporary circus, dance and acting come together. Video installations open up a second narrative level. At the center is a young woman who is struggling with the sudden break-off of contact with her partner. Trapped in her own emotional world - between anger, revenge fantasies and self-alienation - she makes a decision.
ha ha ha hi! by Felix Baumann
With his latest solo performance at the interface of circus, physical theater, stand-up comedy and object manipulation, Felix Baumann continues his work on the theme of "BODY, COMIC & MATERIAL" and devotes himself to humor as a cultural tool. In ha ha ha hi! a mediocre comedian tries to tell a joke with a life-changing effect. But more often than not, he either lacks the words or the right microphone setting for the big breakthrough. Wrestling with his weaknesses, he eventually embraces the absurd and uses every tool at his disposal to create hilarious moments of madcap humor.
