The multi-talented harpist Brandee Younger continually defies genres and other limitations. As a classically trained musician, she moves in the avant-garde tradition of visionary artists such as Dorothy Ashby and Alice Coltrane. Younger's approach to the ancient instrument of the harp is constantly articulated in her educational work, concert curating and as a performer and leader of the Brandee Younger Quartet. She recently released the duo album "Force Majeure" with bassist Dezron Douglas on the Chicago label International Anthem. Her albums "Somewhere Different" and "Brand New Life" were released on the legendary "Impulse!" label.
