Verena Paravel will present a short curated listening session featuring sound materials and recordings closely related to her current research and working methods.

Atmospheric Rivers / Ernst Karel (USA 2025) / 9 pm

This piece addresses a central component of the global water cycle: the massive streams of concentrated water vapor that move through the sky from the tropics towards the poles. They discharge in the form of heavy rain and strong winds - especially in the western United States - and are expected to increase in frequency and intensity with climate change.
