During a one-week production period, an established dance maker and an emerging dance maker work together as a duo on an artistic project for the first time. In this field of experimentation, the encounter of different backgrounds of experience takes place and results in a form that takes shape on stage as a solo or duet. The result is 10-minute compositions that are as diverse as the Bremen dance scene itself.

The TanzDialoge format has existed since 2020 and is a platform for artistic debate and exchange between independent dance professionals in Bremen. Initiated and coordinated by the Netzwerk Tanzinitative of the Landesverband freie darstellende Künste, the TanzDialoge have been held annually ever since. The TanzDialoge bring together artists who have never worked together before. This results in collaborations, new encounters in the Bremen and Bremerhaven dance and art scene are created and synergies are bundled. Different backgrounds and diverse dance languages are explored and placed in relation to each other. Each year a different focus is set for the thematic orientation. This year, the focus is on networking between established dance professionals and young dancers (0-3 years of professional or stage experience) in Bremen's dance scene: five duos work together for the first time over a period of one week. Ten-minute dance pieces will be created during a week of rehearsals and will be shown at Schaulust on November 9 and 10, 2024.
