2024 marks the centenary of the death of the important writer Franz Kafka. To mark this occasion, we cordially invite you to the opening event of the new series Britzer Lektüren.
Berlin reciter Gunnar Hermann will perform selected texts by the Prague author in the ballroom of Schloss Britz. The program includes short prose pieces as well as an excerpt from the well-known story "The Metamorphosis". Kafka's texts explore the tension between existential hardship and the longing for redemption - themes that have lost none of their topicality 100 years after his death.
