In this concert, Brooklyn Rider asks: What does citizenship mean to us - especially as Americans? They see the string quartet as a microcosm of democracy - exemplified by Haydn and Beethoven. In addition, there are commissioned compositions by American composers that address today's conflicts, for example on the Mexican border.
The concert is the closing event of the Summer of Change cultural festival in Bonn. A panel discussion on transformation and sustainability will take place on the stage of the Pantheon Theater at 2.30 pm before the concert begins.
