BRSO mit Simone Young

In the organizer's words:

For the third time, sound magician Simone Young will be conducting the BRSO, this time with a program requested by the conductor: Anton Webern's Five Orchestral Pieces, in which he develops atonality into a short form (the fourth movement has only six bars!).

This masterful aphorism is juxtaposed with Alban Berg's grotesque works. His Three Orchestral Pieces begin as a distorted mass of noise from which music gradually emerges.

The program is completed by Zemlinsky's magnificent and refined Lyric Symphony - with Maria Bengtsson and Michael Volle as vocal soloists.
