Luisa Imorde (piano)

Master pianist Luisa Imorde loves to go in search of musical traces and uncover astonishing similarities between different composers and their works. Following her successful project with compositions by Couperin and Messiaen, her latest program is all about Johannes Brahms and his idols. As Brahms' heart beat strongly for baroque music, his piano rhapsodies alternate with works by Bach and Handel, which the early music fan played at his Viennese piano recitals. In addition to the famous Bach 'Chaconne', which can be heard here in Busoni's version, there are also some Brahms rarities to discover, such as his variations on a theme by Schumann.
