Singer Pur
With its breathtaking range, from German folk music to contemporary works, the vocal sextet Singer Pur has almost achieved cult status. In 2012, however, they pulled off a very special coup: with their very first pop album, Singer Pur congratulated none other than Sting on his 60th birthday! Thanks in part to the congenial arrangements, they breathed new life into all of Sting's hits a cappella. But live, the ensemble goes one step further: Sting's songs are combined with thematically related but stylistically diverse pieces from across the vocal music spectrum: from the folk song 'Rosestück, Holderblüh' to Billy Joel's 'And so it goes'.
