Bruine

Emilie Škrijelj (FR): Accordion, Loudspeaker

Bruine moves between concert and sound installation. It is about extending the instruments with several loudspeakers of different nature, like the diffusers of the Ondes Martenot, chosen and made to color, change and filter the instruments. Each instrument is connected to several loudspeakers placed in the objects on the floor. The loudspeaker system provides different listening points that disrupt the relationship between acoustics and amplification depending on the position of the listener, creating effects such as polyphony, fragmentation and saturation. Both diffusers and musicians are mobile to embrace the space in its volume and its different levels.
