Book premiere and reading with Jörg Bernardy: The longest picnic in the world

We are celebrating the Hamburg book premiere of "The Longest Picnic in the World" with author and philosopher Jörg Bernardy at the Fröbel-Buchwerkstatt! Bernardy will be reading from his new children's book twice - at 2:30 pm and 3:30 pm. After the two readings, there will be a small creative activity with the author and the opportunity to philosophize together.

Recommended for families with children aged 3 and over. No registration required. Free admission.

About the book "The longest picnic in the world"

Three snails - Otto, Anna and Izzy - are planning a picnic. At a snail's pace, they pack a thousand treats into their baskets and set off. Half a year has passed: The three of them are still on the road, their stomachs growling loudly. But they don't eat until they reach their destination, where they are strict. Another six months later: the snails are at the end of their tether. But then they FINALLY arrive. Oh no, they've forgotten the cloverleaf spritzer! About the author

Jörg Bernardy is an author and philosopher who lives in Hamburg with his dog "Gauner". He writes books and journalistic texts for children, young people and adults, including for DIE ZEIT. In "Maus zum Hören" and "MausLive" - the podcast and radio programs of WDR's "Maus" - he regularly answers the philosophical questions of listeners' children. Other children's books by Bernardy have been published by BELTZ or Tulipan Verlag - most recently "Die Möwe Vagabundus", a philosophical picture book for children aged 5 and up about loneliness, orphaned inner cities, exclusion and togetherness
