Hip hop concerts

On May 17, the Kulturbunker Köln-Mülheim will be the stage for three acts from the German-speaking underground rap scene. Bunker Bars, hosted by Broke Villains, brings raw beats, precise lyrics and a clear attitude to the venue - straight from the scene, unadulterated and live.

The Schälsick Gang from Cologne-Porz - consisting of Benyo Hussain and Fly - combine classic boom-bap aesthetics with the sound and feel of Cologne's underground scene. Their songs tell of everyday life, solidarity, rough edges - with a clear attitude, local reference and a lot of heart. EPs such as "Zwei bärenstarke Typen" and "HITZE" have firmly anchored them in Cologne rap, and they are currently working on a new album.

The Broke Villains themselves - pree, Vinnie the Villain, Intakt and producer Stevie Wonka - stand for honest lyrics on dark, powerful beats.

Hard drums and atmospheric pads meet well-rehearsed stage presence. With their EP "Vier Köpfe, eine Schlinge" they have made a statement that clearly defines their sound and energy.

Heliocopta from Peti Free delivers technically adept rap with a direct message. His album "Untergrund Platin", produced with Figub Brazlevic and Tuxho Beatz, sold out quickly on vinyl. With punchlines, flow and attitude, he has established himself as a permanent fixture in the German-speaking underground - both live and on tape.
