Our village head Erich is celebrating: 25 years with his Klara, and 25 years as mayor of Bachenklaff, if that isn't worth a party in the Silbersaal for the whole community! And this way, the party is even tax-deductible, so a few more guests don't matter. Even long-time rival Farmer Lindemann is invited. And to make sure they don't smash each other's heads in, head constable Krause, the village sheriff, keeps a constant eye on the two of them. Such an anniversary is of course a welcome opportunity for the mayor to lay out his visions for the next 25 years: Bachenklaff as a "free republic", with its own money and its own laws. Now all that remains is to convince everyone present of the ingenious idea...
