BY THE WAY: Filmpremiere + Konzert

Ratterratter - klingeling - klackack. What rhythms do our cycle paths have? What do floors sound like - sealed, sanded, paved, concreted? BY THE WAY explores these questions in two concerts and a film premiere on September 5 and 6 in Cologne's bike stores. Road movie, songs and improvisations with bicycle percussion. Loose cobblestones and jingling spokes. The film accompanies three voices and a saxophone on bicycles through Cologne from sunrise to sunset. The ground and its peculiarities guide the musicians along the way. Crunching gravel, cracks in the concrete and potholes become sources of sound. They combine with a composition that follows the paths, borders and connecting lines of the city. Paths and melodies vary, repeat and meet in joint forays by musicians and bicycles.
