Gaswerk Music Concerts - with Camara, Kenneth Scott & Deadbeat
A special evening is coming up at the Gaswerk Music Concerts: Camara, Kenneth Scott, and Deadbeat will each present solo sets - all three closely connected to the Gaswerksiedlung in their own ways.

Camara curates the lab+concert series Neon Electric Muses in Block1, Kenneth Scott is the long-time photographer of the Gaswerk Music Days and a constant presence through all festival and life moments, and Deadbeat is part of the closest internal crew and co-organizes the Nyege Nyege X Gaswerk Music Residency.

An evening among friends, with familiar energy and lots of music - we're excited! <3

CAMARA (Fatima Camara)
Fatima Camara (aka Camara) produces hazy, introspective electronic songs and scapes marked by deep shivering bass, downtempo beats, and submerged vocals, as heard on her 2016 full-length, Before We Sleep (Parachute Records). Owing to her unique production process, the resulting sound has been described variously as cinematic dream pop, new wave, down-tempo, post punk, electronica, and more. Her live sets combine a floating continuous combination of previous works with new material. Based in Berlin, Camara was born in Canada and grew up in a large Portuguese family near Toronto. She has contributed music to various independent films, and with dub-techno producer Deadbeat, recorded a full album interpretation of Cowboy Junkies' 1988 breakthrough The Trinity Session, commemorating its 30th anniversary, titled Trinity Thirty (Constellation Records).

KENNETH SCOTT
Kenneth Scott is a multidisciplinary artist from the United States living in Berlin for over a decade. With a creative practice spanning electronic music production, djing, and visual arts, Scott has released music on notable record labels including Vakant and Circus Company, and is a member of the band KAMM.
His latest work marks his first foray into audiovisual performance, combining photography, generative and audio-responsive animation and composition techniques, with diverse sound design approaches including physical modelling, FM, and analog synthesis. Warning: This performance contains bright flashing lights.

DEADBEAT
Scott Monteith, aka Deadbeat, is a Canadian-born, Berlin-based producer and sound artist at the forefront of dub-infused electronic music. Since the early 2000s, he's forged a singular path through minimal techno, heavy dub, and experimental electronics, releasing over 25 albums and countless EPs and collaborations. His immersive soundworlds blend undulating rhythms, layers of sonic pressure and melodic finesse. From cavernous echoes to tar-thick grooves, Deadbeat's work pulses with both emotion and conceptual depth.
