C.A.R. feat. Evi Filippou
Kraut / Electronic / Jazz Band from Cologne

Krautrock, cosmic music, jazz-rock - the band C.A.R. likes to rant about the significance of German post-war music history, but for our concert announcement at Schleuse Zwei, the Cologne-based band keep it short and sweet: "Hello, we are C.A.R. from Cologne and we play music the way we like it: a little acoustic, a little electronic; on a trip, but without a precise destination; intense, but not brutal; spherical, but not arbitrary; excessive, but still precise. Does that help you? No? Then stay a while and listen!"

That's exactly what we invite you to do: listen! On March 13, you can experience the band at the Musikbar im Bilker Bunker with the support of Greek vibraphonist and drummer Evi Filippou, who is currently revitalizing the German jazz scene.

C.A.R. was founded in 2011 by Johannes Klingebiel and Kenn Hartwig. While the band started out playing experimental jazz, they now play krautrock, kosmische, electronica and experimental pop and feel at home in the new "Krautjazz" musical movement.

We summarize it with the apt words of the fUSion feStiVal : "Trippy shit for spazzing out and drifting off." So then!
