Carillon Sommerkonzert
In the organizer's words:
There has always been a close connection between bells and peace. After the two world wars, peace carillons were built all over the world. One of these is the carillon with 51 bells installed in the tower of St. Nikolai in 1993. At the carillon summer concert, carillonneurs from northern Germany will play melodies to commemorate "Operation Gomorrah", the heavy bombing raids on Hamburg 82 years ago, and to accompany the current outdoor exhibition at the memorial, "Between War and Hope".
Open air. The concert can be heard and seen from the memorial square.
The bells sound in two sets: 11:00 - 13:00 / 15:00 - 17:00
