Founded in 1995 by Carlos Quilici in Rosario, Argentina, the group was one of the pioneers of the tango revival in the 1990s.

Among the new generations that turned to this genre, Carlos, a student of Domingo Federico, made the group a pioneering formation that created and interpreted its own compositions.

The quintet also plays tangos by great composers from different eras and, without neglecting the influences of important musicians of the genre, the interpretations aim to create their own original style.

The repertoire selected for the milongas is completely danceable. The arrangements and adaptations are mostly by their leader and strike a balance between the traditional and the avant-garde of the genre.

Enriched by contemporary melodic, harmonic and rhythmic means, they nevertheless show a clear respect for the original melodies of the compositions and the traditional tango imprint.

The sound of the ensemble, especially live, is characterized by a remarkable passion and expressiveness, which is supported by the phrasing and the deeply rooted tango rhythm of its experienced members. In addition to numerous performances on various stages in Argentina, the quintet has also been bringing its music to Europe since 2003.

They have already toured ten times, giving danceable performances at milongas and offering concerts in halls and theaters. The group has recorded five albums, which include tangos from different eras as well as works by Quilici.

Two of them are completely danceable, the others partially, as they also contain works with a concert character. To celebrate the group's 30th anniversary in 2025, a series of concerts are planned with a partially renewed line-up, the recording of a sixth album and a new European tour from the end of January to the end of February 2025.
