Carmina Burana is a monumental choral work based on medieval texts from the Benediktbeuern monastery.

Carl Orff composed this impressive work in 1935/36, creating one of the most famous choral pieces in music history. The famous introduction O Fortuna is one of the most frequently performed and most impressive works of classical music.
