While CATNAPP, aka Amparo Battaglia, describes her music as as poppy as it gets, there is an unmistakable punk spirit and a distinct DIY mentality in her music. Her tracks are a wild mix of slow, heavy bass music and futuristic R&B, with influences from today's rap and timeless breakbeat sounds. The genius of Catnapp's electronic crossover approach is that for all her creativity and often sensitive lyrics, her music never feels cluttered or overambitious. Instead, an immediate directness unfolds that always hits the mark.
Catnapp's musical backbone has always been anchored in bass music. Her sound oscillates between different genres - to name just a few: Breakbeat, Drum and Bass, Jungle, Dancehall and Pop. One of Catnapp's biggest driving forces is the freedom to cross the boundaries between different genres. Instead of being pigeonholed, the focus is on creating what feels good, exciting, fun and authentic. In addition to their enormous energy, one of the most striking features of their music and live performances is the strong polarization - from sweet to terrifying (sometimes even slightly disturbing) within a few moments.
Catnapp has released seven EPs, six LPs, four remix albums and many singles to date. She has performed at festivals and clubs such as Berghain (Berlin), Boiler Room (Berlin), Fusion (Berlin), Melt (Berlin), SXSW (Austin), Sonar (Barcelona), Reeperbahnfestival (Hamburg & Beijing) and toured China, among others.
Her EP "Cut Me" was released at the end of 2024 and a new album will follow in 2025. Both releases are characterized by their ever-growing pop energy, drums and bass, breakbeat, hyperpop and dancehall - always with the aim of giving people something real and tangible to take with them.

Josefine Kröll (she/her) is saint josy, an artist and musician from Bremen who works on independent art and performance projects. In her work she combines music, theater and immersive experiences, for example in the performance Playground Intimacy, which deals with club and intimacy. She composes for theater productions and develops her own music productions between experimental pop and performance.
"saint josy is experimental pop from Bremen. Her concerts create a place of longing, she tells of attempts to come to terms with the present, neurodivergence and queer love. Gentle, yet direct lyrics are at times denouncing, at times dreamy. Her multi-layered vocals describe the longing for intimacy and melancholy that leaves a hopeful trail."
