CAYA VI: Come(back) As You Are - A ball by Shapes & Shades - as part of "Fokus: Queer Art" - on May 10, 2025 at 11 pm - Schauspielhaus, Foyer

As part of "Fokus: Queer Art", the collective Shapes&Shades is organizing a special version of its "CAYA-Balls" in the foyer of the D'haus: On this evening we bring back the "Nineties" and "Naughties"! All participants are invited to be inspired by the bands of the 1990s and 2000s. From Destiny's Child and Backstreet Boys to Bro'Sis and No Angels to TLC and Boyz II Men. Or rockier with Linkin Park, Evanescence and Tokio Hotel.

Shapes & Shades is a Düsseldorf collective that aims to make ballroom more accessible as a cultural practice and offers a space for experimentation. In addition to panel talks and workshops, one of their most important formats is the "CAYA Balls". This allows members of the community to try out different categories. Because fun and the freedom to express themselves are the top priorities here.
