With the CERV program, the European Union is pursuing two primary goals. The first is to strengthen European values. This includes respect for human dignity, freedom, democracy, equality, the rule of law and respect for human rights, including the rights of persons belonging to minorities. Secondly, the further development of a rights-based, open and democratic society. The aim is to develop and preserve a rights-based, equal, open, pluralistic, inclusive and democratic society. This includes encouraging citizens to participate democratically, civically and socially as well as cultivating the diversity of European society on the basis of shared values, history and experiences.

Within the framework of the various areas of action, calls for funding are regularly published on various focal points. Taking into account the content of the respective calls, some artistic and cultural projects can also be introduced or implemented to achieve the specific objectives.

The CERV contact point in Germany | In Germany, the CERV contact point in Bonn is responsible for all issues relating to the application process and provides assistance with, among other things

• General questions
• Questions about the action areas and calls
• Content-related and formal questions on project submission
• Checking the content of the project outline
• Checking the content and form of the completed application
