In 03:02 three duos from Oslo, Cologne and Heidelberg meet. Loose connections are forged anew, improvisational freedom meets song structures, electronically alienated sounds of five guitars contrast with the natural radiance of a voice and a cello. The space becomes a stage, the listening and sounding, performing and experiencing of the musicians and the audience become elastic, flowing, permeable and reshaped in the situation of the moment.
"This will be a concert that reflects the interweaving of places and times. I imagined a space where the audience would sit in the middle and we musicians would be spread out around the room. The duos would not simply play their sets one after the other, but alternate with flowing transitions - a mutual passing on, inspiring, improvising, perceiving and listening - a kind of compositional and emotional rebound, an ad hoc remix on all levels. And now it's becoming reality! So much is open and exciting: how will these creative people and their extraordinary music interact? Where will there be amazing similarities and where will we get to know new things about each other? What is certain is that each of the three concerts will be a unique new journey that cannot be repeated." Elisa Herbig
great OKEH:
Oliver Kuka and Elisa Herbig sometimes play softly and sensitively, then again quirky and loud - the duo's soundscape always remains multi-faceted. Their songs are reduced to the essentials and at the same time capture the complexity of human emotions.
GuniaBorn
Alex Gunia and Markus Born dedicate themselves to free improvisation with guitars, noise and electronics. Drawing on ambient, experimental jazz, krautrock and their experience as producers for other artists, they interactively explore the field between emerging structures and lucky accidents.
kÖöök
The duo Jørn Erik Ahlsen and Stian Larsen play freely improvised music and move between electronic ambient and experimental jazz, whereby the influence of both Marc Ducret and Alva Noto can be heard. Their minimalist sound is created and shaped by the use of analog effects, loops and prepared guitars.
