Two icons shine in the dark times of the Second World War - and beyond.

One from a middle-class Berlin family, the other, a child of Parisian street artists. Legend has it that they met in America in 1948 and although they couldn't seem more different, they developed a deep friendship, perhaps even more.

With their unmistakable voices, melodies, lyrics and fierce spirit of contradiction, Marlene Dietrich and Edith Piaf touched hearts.

But their international success is not the only reason why we have not forgotten them to this day: Dietrich in particular proved how artists can assume political responsibility.

This musical evening invites you to take a look at the special connection between the two world stars, including unforgettable chansons such as "Je ne regrette rien" and "Ich bin von Kopf bis Fuß auf Liebe eingestellt".
