Mirror images flicker with strange un-likeness, the re-placement of parts, growing rampant. Feel the separated breath flowing into the wrong pipe, flute rattling, twitching lips, stuttered tales of faraway consciousness. Stretch out thin skin over my eyebrows, your eyebrows. If you like I could ... sing you a lullaby?

The voice too perfect, the humor too smooth, the look empty - let's be honest: the last time we chatted with ChatGPT or watched a video of the Tesla bots, wasn't there this fleeting echo of human emotion? A brief flash of empathy? And the next moment, a wave of disgust and mistrust. The boundaries between man and machine, between the animate and the inanimate, are increasingly dissolving and are no longer to be found only in the stories of science fiction. With the project "Post-Bodies", the ensemble moves through the interstices of the Uncanny Valley, in which perceptions shift and uncertainties that we experience when we can no longer clearly define triumph. Acoustic instruments meet modular synthesizers, sensors and interactive music systems. Composition and improvisation intertwine with performative elements and create a multi-layered space in which the ensemble confronts the discomfort of the near-human.
