Chemnitzer Nachtskaten

In the organizer's words:

As soon as the days get longer and the evenings get milder, it's time to get skating again in Chemnitz! From May to September, the Chemnitz night skating event brings up to 500 enthusiastic skaters onto the city streets every month. The skate runs transform the city into a rolling party - with good music, sporting challenges and lots of fun.

Each tour is unique: the routes are planned individually and vary in length between 12 and 21 kilometers. The evening begins with a joint warm-up at Rosenhof Chemnitz before the skate race winds its way through the city at night - led by the Radio Chemnitz vehicle, which provides the right soundtrack to set the mood. The highlight of each run is a short break with drinks and specials such as the skate disco in the Kraftverkehr.

A motorcycle squad from the Chemnitz police department and several escort vehicles that provide professional security for the field of participants ensure safe skating fun.
