The Elbphilharmonie of Beijing

The National Center for the Performing Arts (NCPA) is the Elbphilharmonie of Beijing, so to speak. Opened in 2007, the spectacular building comprises an opera house, a concert hall and a theater. It is home to the NCPA Orchestra, one of China's best orchestras for Western European classical music. Together with the South Korean star conductor Myung-Whun Chung and the high-flyer Bruce Liu on the piano, it is now paying a visit to Hamburg.
