One guitar, one piano, one voice

After two sold-out tours last year, Chris de Burgh is coming to Munich again in 2025! His motto remains the same this year: 50LO. In addition to his great hits, he will also be performing new songs and cover versions of his great role models.

Journey to the beginnings

The title refers on the one hand to the fact that he is performing solo and celebrating his 50th stage anniversary, and on the other to his current album. For the album '50', he selected his favorite songs from each of his studio albums and also recorded three new songs. The stage pro has also thought about a few things for this concert in the Theatersaal: "This tour is about remembering my beginnings when I performed solo with guitar or piano accompaniment. I'll also be talking about the music at the guest appearances, about the origins of the songs and their background." Chris de Burgh will also perform some cover versions, as his idols include Elvis Presley, Toto, Lennon, McCartney, Paul Simon and Bob Dylan.

Enthusiasm in the audience

On the occasion of one of his "unforgettable concerts", the "Passauer Neue Presse" wrote: "Chris de Burgh first plays his slow, cozy, emotional songs. Then the mood swells more and more. And by the time 'Lady In Red' is played, many people have lost it. The visitors lie in each other's arms, kisses are exchanged, tears are dried... Chris de Burgh sings about love and peace - his epic anti-war song 'Borderline' is a must. With the line 'But these are only boys and I will never know, how men can see the wisdom in a war', the audience rises to its feet and joins in with great applause."
