Christian Ehring - Versöhnung

Christian Ehring, known as the presenter of "extra 3" and a member of the "Heute Show" ensemble, is touring the country again with a brand new solo program. And that's a good thing. Because his wit, spontaneity and empathy are needed everywhere. Especially here, especially now.

The country is divided. Day by day, the rifts are getting deeper, the fronts tougher and the mores harsher. Conflicts escalate within seconds. Where there used to be civilized debates, today there is only swearing and insults, so that you want to shout non-stop: "Have you ever heard of politeness, you ass-kickers?"

Admittedly: Ehring hasn't always kept a low profile in the war of opinions either. He has also dished and bashed, shamed, blamed, silenced and fronted - sometimes without even knowing what these terms mean.

But now he says: No more division! The satire pro with the Johannes Rau memory jaw has retrained and from now on wants to reconcile: himself with us, us with the world, left with right, Elmex with Aronal. And where better to accomplish this than in the very concrete here and now of an evening at the theater?

The audience can expect a highly topical, political, personal and also discursive show that focuses not on what divides us, but on what still connects us all. For Ehring, one thing is certain: reconciliation begins with listening. We should do that. And to him.
