Christoph Pütthoff & Susanne Kohnen: Die letzten Zeugen

Concert reading with actor Christoph Pütthoff (Schauspiel Frankfurt) and oboist/saxophonist Susanne Kohnen with texts from conversations with survivors of the "Katzbach" concentration camp in Frankfurt's Adlerwerke on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the dissolution of the concentration camp, the subsequent transport of goods to Bergen-Belsen and the death march via Hünfeld to Buchenwald. Andrzej Branecki, Władysław Jarocki, Kajetan Kosinski, Jan Kozłowski, Ryszard Olek and Zygmunt Świstak were deported after the suppression of the Warsaw Uprising via various intermediate stations for armaments production to the concentration camp set up in August 1944 on the Adlerwerke site in Frankfurt. 60 years later, journalist Joanna Skibińska conducted detailed interviews with the survivors about their participation in the Warsaw Uprising in August 1944, their capture and deportation, their time in the "Katzbach" concentration camp, the death march after the concentration camp was dissolved and their later life in freedom.
