To conclude the artist-in-residence program at Villa Waldberta, the composer, musician and theorist Christopher Dell will perform revisions XIII-XV of his groundbreaking work complex Das Arbeitende Konzert/The Working Concert (B.O.) with the Munich ensemble for contemporary music der/gelbe/klang from 12-14.9.2025. As a conceptual format, this innovative series of works provides the framing of a series of events - called revisions - and their spatialization. Within this, the work complex locates and reflects the continuous production and research of musical practice, its media and its presentation as a concert. Over three days, the performative installation will dissolve the boundaries between rehearsal and performance and offer the audience the opportunity to experience the process of creating contemporary music that transcends all genre boundaries.
Christopher Dell (conception, conduction, vibraphone), Nina Takai (violin), Katerina Giannitsioti (violoncello), Marco Riccelli (piano), Mathias Lachenmayr (percussion), Oliver Klenk (clarinet, bass clarinet)
Additional concerts on Saturday and Sunday:
Saturday at 8 pm: Christopher Dell feat. der/gelbe/klang: Das Arbeitende Konzert/ The Working Concert - Revision XIV
Sunday at 11 am: Duo Dell + Geisse: Based on Harry Lehmann's current music theory, Dell and Geisse examine a relational form of music that combines human action with virtual structures from sample material and in this way creates concrete references to the world. On Sunday evening at 8 pm: Christopher Dell feat. der/gelbe/klang: Das Arbeitende Konzert/ The Working Concert + Dell-Lillinger-Westergaard - Revision XV The trio Dell-Lillinger-Westergaard will also give a concert.
