The exhibition "Chut adom - 100 little red ribbons" makes the lives of children in the Jewish community of Dortmund visible. The Dortmund artist Era Freidzon photographed children's hands in the Jewish kindergarten doing handicrafts, painting, reading, playing, cooking, doing sports, praying or making music. The photos are black and white - except for one little red ribbon: The chut adom, also known as a "Kabbalah ribbon", is a lucky charm and protective symbol. For Era Freidzon, the photographs are a visual prayer for the happiness of all children - and for Jewish life in Germany to take place and have a future, despite all adversity.

At the vernissage with the artist on September 2, 2025, Alexander Krimhand will give an insight into the Jewish educational institutions in Dortmund, and the dance group of the Jewish community under the direction of Marina Evel will also perform.
