A dark overture to the two-part franchise finale, in which Harry Potter and his friends are seemingly hopelessly cornered by Lord Voldemort's forces of evil.

After the death of Albus Dumbledore, Hogwarts is deserted and the Ministry of Magic is under the control of Lord Voldemort's followers. While the Prince of Darkness tracks down Harry and a mysterious lost wand, his young arch-enemy sets off with Hermione and Ron in search of the remaining Horcruxes that can destroy Voldemort's power. A search that brings the friends to the brink of despair and their fearsome opponent ever closer to his goal.
