Claus Koch is a man of conviction on the saxophone when it comes to classic American jazz and is one of the most consistent straight-ahead tenor saxophonists in Europe.
Unimpressed by current fashions and trends, Claus Koch remains true to the primary virtues of jazz: drive and swing, paired with sensual ballad playing, imbued with the emotional depth of the blues.
Koch has woven elements of swing, bop and soul jazz into his own distinctive style. With clear lines, played with a full, round tone, he takes the listener on a journey through harmony and rhythm.
