A dance group takes up residence in a remote training center for rehearsals. At the final party, a stranger mixes drugs into the sangría, causing a collective trip to hell. Fear turns into paranoia, subliminal aggression into open violence, affection into uncontrolled desire. The energetic choreography dissolves into chaos, the dancers stagger, stumble and continue to dance in the highest ecstasy until dawn, when the police arrive and discover the full extent of the situation.

A breathlessly fascinating frenzy driven to unconsciousness by an electrifying soundtrack, filmed in the shortest possible time with professional dancers (including the legendary break dancer Sofia Boutella). With CLIMAX, Gaspar Noé is on top form again and won the Quinzaine des Réalisateurs at this year's festival in Cannes.

About SAFE PARTY PEOPLE

A pill, a powder, a few drops of a liquid, a small moment of carelessness. Unnoticed, they are added to a drink, after which everything becomes foggy. Spiking, i.e. the involuntary administration of psychoactive substances by third parties, also known as "knockout drops", is unfortunately still a current problem in nightlife. With the Safe Party People and NachtGestalten projects, we have been trying for almost 30 years to play our part in making nightlife safer and more enjoyable and to raise awareness of this sensitive issue. At our information event, we would like to talk about the problem, point out possible courses of action, engage in direct discourse and exclusively show our spiking short film.
