In the organizer's words:

CLUB SONG SLAM

The path to musical happiness first leads down a flight of stairs: where world stars of the jazz scene have jammed, where the notes flow through the brickwork, where the brooms rustle on the skins, the strings swing in the groove and the fingers snap in time, there is something like the cradle of music: Birdland in Eimsbüttel, the most charming music club in the city.

So where, if not here, would be the perfect spot for the city's up-and-coming singer-songwriters, sometimes lyrically dreamy, sometimes angry and loud, sometimes ironically bitter, sometimes lustfully warbled - at the Song Slam, all these colors meet and together paint an auditory oeuvre. All styles are welcome, whether shanty on accordion or power rock on electric guitar.

At the Song Slam, everyone comes together and presents their songs to the audience! And their favor decides, because as with the Poetry Slam, a random jury evaluates the songs, regardless of whether they are pop fanatics or music laymen. And in the end, we may have the star of tomorrow, the insider tip of the scene, the rising star in the German music sky. And then you can say you were there!
