Club death 🪩🪦

We are dedicating our event on March 15 at DUQO to this topic on the occasion of the club's imminent closure. For this reason, DUQO will open its doors for you at 7:00 pm so that we can start the program together at 7:30 pm.

Musical performances by Leipzig-based creative project The Open Box Studios will set the mood for a varied evening. Afterwards, various speeches will be presented that shed light on club death from different perspectives. These contributions can serve as impulses for the subsequent discussion round, which will be moderated by maliXious.

We can look forward to contributions from:

• Jörg Kosinski (board member of LiveKommbinat e.V.) on the "Leipzig 2024 club and live music venue study"
• Niklas Habig on the death of clubs from the perspective of DJs and independent promoters
• Leo on the death of clubs from the perspective of non-commercial cultural centers

Taking part in the panel discussion:

• Markus Ohm (Managing Director of TixForGigs)
• Michael Ziegenhorn (co-founder of Leipziger Kulturmesse)
• Nils Fischer (Specialist representative for night culture)

Club death concerns us all. Spend the evening with us to get to know different perspectives, find out more about the background and challenges and set an example together for the cohesion of the club scene.

To make sure we don't miss out on partying on this evening, we'll start at 10 pm with what we do best: enjoying good techno and conquering the dance floor. You can find more information about the party here.
