Actor and musician Robert Besta announces debut album with his band M I C O R for summer 2025 and will be on stage with us just in time for c/o pop
The music of M I C O R evokes memories of artists such as the Tindersticks or Nick Cave, but at the same time has a unique, almost magical quality of its own.
The focus is on actor and musician Robert Besta (currently: Back in Action/Netflix - 10 years of "Fallers"), whose compositions and lyrics form the basis for the band's unique sound. Besta, known from theater, film and television, has created a musical project over the years that is characterized by literary depth, tonal complexity and emotional intensity. His artistic work combines music with narrative and philosophical elements, which means that M I C O R's songs often address existential social issues, literary allusions or touching love stories.
The video for the current single "Redemption" won at the Montreal Independent Film Festival, is a finalist at the Red Movie Awards and is currently in the running for an award at five other international film festivals.

The core ensemble consists of Robert Besta (vocals, guitar), Stefan Breuer (drums), Marcus Franzke (keyboards, trombone) and Johannes Frisch (bass). All members are renowned musicians whose backgrounds range from jazz and rock to classical music, improvisation and pop. Their sound moves between alternative, indie, jazz and blues and creates a dense, atmospheric soundscape that impresses with its dynamism and depth. The songs surprise with unexpected twists and at the same time have a haunting catchiness that quickly makes them familiar companions.
The sound spectrum is regularly expanded by multi-instrumentalist Moritz Schläfer and the bell-like voice of Anela Luzi, who lend the songs additional facets.
With M I C O R, Robert Besta has created a musical project that goes far beyond a classic band formation - it is a sonic narrative journey that moves between intimacy and orchestral power and captivates its listeners time and time again.
