Leonard Cohen songs become images and come to life before the eyes of the audience. Few people write about love as honestly and directly, and at the same time as poetically and laconically, as Leonard Cohen did. Inspired by these songs, scenes have been created that are more or less closely based on the original. Love and lovers are shown in all their facets, sometimes painful, sometimes light, always truthful.
Among other things, we meet the iconic Suzanne as a prostitute who receives her clients on the riverbank, are present during a dialog with Jannis Joplin after a night together in the Chelsea Hotel, experience how he breaks up with Marianne and how another time Jane leaves him after cheating on him with the famous blue raincoat. "There's a crack in everything, that's how the light gets in" - this quote from the song "Anthem" gives the play its title.
