For cynics, romantics, comedians and everyone in between, here is perhaps the funniest novel about failure: Max, in his late 20s and a comedy writer, sees himself at the start of a stellar career: he is the presenter of his own show - at least three times. Then he learns from the TV magazine that it has been canceled. The handsome guy from the club, the supposed new love of his life, doesn't want to know anything more about him either. And doesn't Max actually want his ex-girlfriend back anyway? His path to the big stage and great love is paved with blunders, awkward silences after the joke, heartbreak and disappointment - and the question of whether there can be a happy ending for Max in the end or whether his life will remain the least funny show in the world forever.
