Latin America has also left more traces in Cologne than the diverse dance scene and Shakira: in the Cuban cigar factory, a scooter, original la Galana, awaits us alongside handmade long filters. There are also all kinds of potatoes in Mercedes' Peruvian enclave Hola Mundo in the Kwartier Latäng, and in between: "Mola" - the traditional embroidery applications of northern Colombian tribes are turned into fashion. Tensegridad, the Mexican shamanic yoga is practiced in Ehrenfeld by Jaime, Latin dances and Zumba are performed all over the city, and fish and suckling pig are grilled in the Venezuelan beer garden in Nippes. Mexican singer Kim Morales, well-known from radio and television, shows us a selection of these. She not only gives us a taste of her diverse musical activities. Colonia Latina tells her stories and takes us to the Latin American hot spots of Cologne in the cultural melting pot between Maya, carnival and Latino pop.
