Comedy slam show as part of Stadtglühen 2025

When poetry meets punchline, Wolle Hellebrandt and Simon Middelkoop are at work. The two word acrobats, slam strategists and fun guarantors bring a show to the stage at Stadtglühen that is somewhere between poetry slam, stand-up comedy and cultivated madness.

Wolle Hellebrandt - mechanical engineer by day, stage poet by night - is a real phenomenon: with a seemingly lethargic expression, he serves up razor-sharp one-liners, ambiguous wordplay and texts that first make the audience laugh and then make them think.
Third place in the NXT TXT Awards, participant in the NRW championships, first scholarship holder for poetry slam at the Berlin Kiezpoeten - Wolle is not just a name, but a stage event.

Simon Middelkoop - comedian, slammer and part-time charmer - knows exactly how to make any room giggle with wit, a talent for improvisation and a dash of self-irony. Whether everyday madness or world politics: Simon grabs the big topics - and turns them into little cabinet pieces with guaranteed laughter.

What happens when these two get together?
An evening full of rhythm and friction, lyricism and laugh-out-loud flashes, stories and gags.
With plenty of heart, attitude and humor.

As with all shows as part of the "Stadtglühen" cultural festival, admission is free. The event does not necessarily require seating. So feel free to bring blankets or camping chairs to make yourself comfortable on site. Cool drinks and snacks will be provided on site.
