On a rainy night, Uncle Titus sends the three question marks to ZEUS, a now closed excursion destination in the middle of nowhere in the Nevada desert. Here they are supposed to pick up old but functioning slot machines. However, the incessant downpour makes the trip home impossible. Justus, Peter and Bob manage to persuade the narrow-minded janitor to let them spend the night in a nearby motel. But when more unexpected guests arrive, dark secrets are revealed about the remote location. In fact, a real UFO is said to have crashed nearby. And then Peter discovers a phantom-like figure haunting the grounds.

Phantom Highway is the sixth adventure of the popular young detectives told as a graphic novel. In addition to references to the classic horror novel by Gaston Leroux, 50s sci-fi and retro games, this case also offers musical surprises. These come from the pen of New York songwriter Phoebe Kreutz. The proven team of Calle Claus and Christopher Tauber is once again responsible for the overall work.

In the comic reading, the graphic novel appears on the screen as a film with its own soundtrack, and author and illustrator Christopher Tauber is a joy to play as he takes on all the roles in the story with gusto.

About the series: Awarded the Max & Moritz Prize for Best Comic for Children and Young People in 2018, it is now impossible to imagine the world of the Three?
