Comic-Lesung über Emojis und Kommunikation: "Face with Tears of Joy" von Karla-Jean v. Wissel

"Face with Tears of Joy" is a graphic novel about emojis and communication. It's hard to imagine life without emojis, but where do they come from? Are they democratic? Diverse? And do they really work globally? 🤔

Author Karla-Jean v. Wissel draws on history, linguistics and emotion research to explore a seemingly simple yet complex element of our everyday communication: emojis and other pictograms in our writing.

Even before the graphic novel is published, we invite you to a reading at Vary Leipzig (Eisenbahnstraße 7) on March 21 at 8 pm as part of the Leipzig Book Fair. In addition to the first reading, there will be a discussion with Karla, moderated by editor Marie Krutmann.
