Comic reading: Initiative Perspektivwechsel e.V.: Resistance - Three generations of anti-colonial protest in Cameroon
In cooperation with Taranta Babu e.V
Three comic reports from different eras tell of the colonial legacy in Cameroon.
Whether economy, education, culture or language: colonial rule was characterized by the violent restructuring of virtually all areas of life. The after-effects of these colonial policies can still be felt in the countries of the Global South today. But resistance to European expansion is as old as European expansion itself.
Three anti-colonial struggles from Cameroon are presented in this reading. They tell of colonialism from the perspective of the people who resisted it and highlight the extent of the racist colonial policies of Germany (1884 - 1919), France (1919 - 1960) and Great Britain (1919 - 1960) in Cameroon.
This project was realized with the two Cameroonian illustrators Franky Mindja and Daniel Assako (Negro Illustrator).
