You cannot predict the future.
We can`t influence many things, but we can definitely change our attitude towards events. And also how we depict these events, for ourselves and for others.
Jenya Polosina and Anna Ivanenko run the visual studio seri/graph together. Since the 2022 Russian attack, they have dedicated themselves almost exclusively to war-related topics and create documentary comics.
In this workshop, we will deal with the question: How can we express our attitude towards unpredictable events? Together we will explore creative ways to graphically depict feelings and moods.
You will receive a kit for a cube and a list of different emotions (e.g. "morning anger", "great anticipation", "joyful expectation"). We discuss how these feelings can be expressed using different graphic forms and narrative styles - both abstract and narrative. Then everyone draws six selected emotional states on the sides of their cube and sticks them together.
At the end, each person holds their own "cube of the future" in their hands - an individual symbol of how we can imagine the future and visualize our mood towards it.
Participation is recommended from the age of 14.
Please note: The workshop will be held in English.
