Works by George Frideric Handel, gospels, spirituals, American songs.

Over time, the search for a new home led many people to the USA. The different cultures of the emigrants also brought together numerous musical traditions. The renowned lautten compagney BERLIN, under the direction of Wolfgang Katschner, explores these influences on the 250th anniversary of US independence. It also cleverly draws a parallel with George Frideric Handel. The German composer also embarked on great journeys before finding his new home in London. The Berlin group is known for not shying away from unconventional ideas and also demonstrates its musical innovation in this program. At their side: the outstanding countertenor Reginald Mobley, a singer who has found his musical home in American spirituals and gospel as well as baroque arias.
