Compagnia di Punto
Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart: Symphony KV 550, version for nonet by Carl Friedrich Ebers
Ludwig van Beethoven: Serenade op. 25 for flute, violin and viola
Ludwig van Beethoven: Symphony No. 3 "Eroica", version for nonet by Carl Friedrich Ebers
The concert series "Symphonie en miniature" in the Rhein-Sieg district, with stops in Hennef, on the Petersberg and in Rheinbach, reveals the core of Beethoven's symphonies and lets you hear them with new ears. You will be surprised at what discoveries the familiar music holds in store.
The press has praised the Compagnia di Punto for their experiments with Beethoven's symphonies in chamber music formations: "The extreme internal dynamics make your hair stand on end." The original sound ensemble presents two arrangements from the workshop of contemporary Carl Friedrich Ebers: Mozart's famous G minor Symphony and the popular "Eroica". In nonet format, Beethoven's Third sounds even more revolutionary, sharper and more extreme. In between, another Beethoven experiment can be heard: a trio without a bass instrument.
