In 2025, the Palucca University of Dance Dresden will celebrate its 100th anniversary - a century of artistic innovation, excellence and passion for dance. At Comuneo.Talk, we look forward to a lecture and discussion by Prof. Katharina Christl, Rector of the University, about the past, present and future of one of the most renowned dance institutions in the world.

Born in Dresden and a former Palucca student, Prof. Katharina Christl has been Professor of Choreography and Head of the Master's Degree Program in Choreography at the Palucca University of Dance Dresden since 2015. She is an internationally renowned personality in the field of dance and choreography. Since 1998, she has gained worldwide experience as a freelance dancer, with interdisciplinary works and as a guest lecturer and dance teacher at renowned dance companies, festivals and institutions. With her many years of stage experience, her interdisciplinary approach and her flair for new developments, she shapes the training of young dance professionals and provides important impulses for the future of the university.

Founded in 1925 by dance pioneer Gret Palucca, the academy has established itself as a center for modern and contemporary dance. To this day, Palucca's approach continues to shape training and inspire generations of dancers.
